It is traditionally held on Patriot's Day every year - the third Monday in April. It is a point-to-point race that actually has a negative elevation gain (-459 feet) from start to finish. Crowd support surpasses 500,000 people every year and this is New England's most-viewed sporting event. There are literally thousands of people lining the entire course from start to finish.

Athletes will start their journey in The Woodlands with a 2.4-mile, spectator-lined lake swim, cruise at their own volition for a 112-mile ride on mostly closed roads, and embrace the Texas faithful on one of the most spirited 26.2-mile runs in North America. Come see what you're made of at the North American Championship.
Sunday's full and half marathon routes travel along a scenic point-to-point course that begins in the city's urban gem, beautiful Forest Park, and winds through the city's most beautiful urban neighborhoods and streets before finishing in downtown St. Louis near the Gateway Arch!
